We had a good talk with Tine Stevnhoved on using social tools for knowledge sharing and team collaboration over some coffees at Sort Kaffe og Vinyl.

Our take on a social tool developed for professional use in teams is to integrate what we think makes sense from the world of so-called '2.0' (a term we're not all that pleased with as it's pretty un-precise and buzzed up) with a good, common sense approach to the requirements businesses and networks naturally have when using the system as a substantial part of their daily work. Safety, billing and scalability can be fine-tuned to this context while keeping the advantages of a hosted, web-native application.

We're the team behind Hoist, a company we founded recently. We used to run Froda & Bindslev and Geezer - now we're building our first product, OurHoist - a hosted web application for teams.

Expect posts on social media, technology for people, building web apps and removing friction. We believe that social media web apps are a vital part of collaboration in networks, organisations and businesses.
