DrupalCon is the twice annual conference for all things Drupal. It has exploded in size over the past couple of years. In the first week of March DrupalCon 2008 will kick off in Boston with over 600 participants.
The conference tracks cover everything Drupal and there are interesting talks for programmers and consultants alike. Being a dedicated Drupal hacker my personal interest lies with the Site Building track. The sessions have not been finalized yet, but it's already looking extremely enticing. There is a panel discussion on Drupal Multimedia - how to bridge the gap between the two and a workshop on how to use the new Theme Developer module for Drupal 6. On the very sexy frontend there is a session on the new AHAH and Drag and Drop APIs in Drupal 6 and finally an informal session for creating a plan of action for getting WYSIWYG editing into Drupal core.
With this many people it's also a great opportunity to find people who are interested in the same obscure area of Drupal as you. Whether that's Drupal and Organized Labor or having Drupal interact with Instant Messengers.
My top picks may not be yours, but there should be enough sessions to entertain anyone for 4 days of Drupal mania on the Boston waterfront. I hope to see you there!
